Weddings in the Age of COVID-19

COVID-19 has temporarily changed the way we celebrate, particularly in the number of guests attending weddings.

Some of weddings I’m involved in have been postponed until later in the year or into next year. But many couples have opted for a micro wedding, which typically have fewer than 50 guests. And many of the weddings are simulcast on Zoom or Facebook Live to many more.

It’s not the size of the crowd that matters but who’s in attendance. So you need a fun, warm, epic speech that honors the bride and groom whether there are 10 or 200 guests.

Any wedding is cause for celebration, even if it has to look a little different. So don’t skimp on your speech regardless of how many people attend.

Everyone is Hoping You’re Going to Nail Your Speech

But they’ve seen enough wedding speeches to know it’s much more likely you’re going to give another canned, do-it-yourself speech filled with...

empty platitudes…
silly quips and clichés...
overwrought writing…
and dull, generic lines you pulled off Google they’ve all heard.

Surprise them and be an event game-changer with a funny, warm, killer original speech.

And enjoy the thanks and raves from everyone.

“At least 20 people told me it was the best wedding speech they've ever heard. Another 100 told me they loved it one way or another. The brilliant part is that Den is actually pulling the speech out of you and organizing your thoughts - the memories, tone and jokes are all yours.”
